JYJ – Nine

This is going to be a relatively short(er) post. The reason is quite simple: I don’t speak Korean. However, as with my love of Björk, understanding the lyrics isn’t exactly correlated to understanding the song. Hence why JYJ’s “Nine” is my favourite track from their second full-length release, In Heaven.

Written, composed, and arranged by member Kim Jaejoong, the song chronicles the ups and downs of his relationship with his two band mates. Barring anyone’s opinion on the whole matter, these three have had to depend on each other, and as such have gotten even closer than they may have been previously. I have my thoughts on the whole lawsuit/leaving the record label debacle; however, my opinion is moot and I’d rather not go into it, thank you very much.
